Hamilton North Public Library Presents:

Billie Wiete - Photograpy

My interest in photography started when I was ten, using my mother's box camera. My first camera was a used Kodak Brownie Hawkeye. It had a cardboard carrying case painted black and tied together at the top with a shoestring. I've come a long way since that Christmas present, having many cameras along the way, and now have a Canon Rebel XTi Digital with two lenses. My camera, as my constant companion, allowed me to shoot wonderful athletic photos of my sons during their school years and on into college as well. As an amateur photographer, I enjoy all kinds of photography, particularly nature photography. It has always been a dream of mine to display some of my photos where others could enjoy them. Some of my photos have been published in a local newspaper and received runner-up recognition in their photo contest. A photo entered in a local library photography contest won second place in the Adult Amateur class.
